Uberti® Reproduction 1847 Colt® Walker .44 Cal. Black Powder Revolver. A fine tribute to the revolver that made Samuel Colt a household name!

Designed in collaboration with Capt. Samuel Walker of the Texas Rangers, Samuel Colt's 1847 Walker Revolver became one of the most feared weapons of the West. Its 60 grain charge was more than double that of any other revolver, granting the 1847 Walker enough stopping power to bring down a horse. At 4 1/2 lbs., it remained the world's biggest and most powerful revolver right up until the introduction of the .357 magnum.

The legend lives on with this faithful, real-shooting, premium-quality Reproduction from Uberti, the premier name in historical recreations. It's faithful down to the last detail, with 9" barrel, gorgeous 1-Pc. walnut grip, steel backstrap... even the original 4 1/2-lb. weight! It's a hoot to shoot, and an absolute looker all the way. If you're looking to scratch your classic shooting itch, you will not be disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Blast From The Past Shoots great and a lot of fun. Workmanship is generally pretty good. Wood to metal fit good. Bluing and color case hardening very good. Loaded with Hornady .454" lead balls (shaves a little lead when seated so they are a perfect fit), 22 grains of Alliant Black MZ and a lubricated felt wad in between. Bore Butter over the lead balls to seal out any sparks. Used Remington #10 percussion caps which fit perfect and stay in place. Recoil was very soft and quite pleasant to shoot. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that a few of the screws were buggered at the factory. Looks like the Uberti gorillas used the wrong size screw driver. Come on Uberti. You need to exercise better quality control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great reproduction firearm Fun to load and shoot due to quality. Earlier reproductions did not have the spring holding the loading lever in place when fired and it would lower into the cylinders when fired due to the recoil so had to be pushed back into place each time. It also has a retainer to prevent the wedge form coming completely out when disassembled for cleaning making it almost impossible to lose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Danged thing is huge! I used a friend's Uberti Walker and so enjoyed it, I purchased one for myself. It dwarfs my regular pistols and revolvers. The fit of parts is excellent, easy to find BP and rounds for the revolver. I have not yet fired this particular weapon, but when I do, will send pictures.
