Daniel Defense® DD5® V5® Hunter 6.5mm Creedmoor Semi-automatic Rifle

The 6.5mm Creedmoor round is the current king of the short-action shooting world, offering superior ballistic coefficients, flatter trajectories and reduced wind drift normally reserved for much heavier-recoiling long-action calibers. The new DD5 V5 Rifle was engineered to push the 6.5mm Creedmoor to its absolute limit on the hunt, and includes a number of top-of-the-line features to help you tag out.

The heart and soul of the DD5 V5 is the new DD5 bolt carrier group, which features both a Superfinish and DLC (Diamond-Like Coating). The Superfinish is a time-intensive finish that makes the carrier group incredibly slick and allows it to operate in nearly all conditions, and the DLC coating makes it very easy to clean—just wipe it down with a rag. The DD5 bolt also features a tungsten buffer weight in the rear to reduce dynamic mass, which helps to tame recoil.

The 20" S2W-profile barrel is made from Daniel Defense's proprietary steel and offers the ideal strength-to-weight ratio. It comes capped with Daniel Defense's own SSD (Superior Suppression Device) that controls muzzle flash while simultaneously taming muzzle rise.

The DD5 also comes with the outstanding Geissele SSA Super Semi-Automatic trigger. The SSA's 2-stage design allows you to take a little slack out of the trigger pull while you're tracking game across a field, and then squeeze off a round right when you need to.

To give you some versatility, the DD5 V5 also comes with an adjustable gas block with 2 settings: suppressed and unsuppressed. The gas block is easily adjustable through the 15" M-LOK handguard, and gives you the same consistent performance whether you're running with or without a suppressor. It's just one more in a long roster of premium upgrades that makes the Daniel Defense DD5 V5 one of the finest Rifles in the world.
