Ingredients:
- 1 pound wild boar meat, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jalapeno pepper, finely chopped (optional, for spiciness)
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon of oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup of chicken stock
- Juice of 1 lime
- Hard or soft taco shells
Toppings:
shredded lettuce, sliced onions ,tomatoes, chopped cilantro, scallion, sour cream, sliced avocado, etc.
Instructions:
- Heat olive oil in a large dutch oven over medium heat.
- Add the diced onion, minced garlic, and chopped jalapeno pepper (if using). Sauté until the onion is translucent and fragrant.
- Add the wild boar meat to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides.
- Sprinkle the cumin, oregano, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper over the meat. Stir to coat the meat evenly with the spices, then add the stock .
- Reduce the heat to low and let the meat simmer for about 3 hours, or until it is cooked through and tender.
- Remove the the dutch oven skillet from heat and squeeze the lime juice over the meat, giving it a final stir.
- Warm up the taco shells as
- To serve, spoon some of the wild boar meat onto each taco shell.
- Top the tacos with your desired toppings, such as shredded lettuce, scallions, sliced onions, tomatoes, chopped cilantro, sour cream, sliced avocado, or your favorite bbq sauce.
