Built in collaboration with Shadow Systems and John Lovell of the Warrior Poet Society (and ONLY available here), the new War Poet 9mm was created to be the ultimate lightweight, multi-role Pistol. WPS chose the MR920 as the platform because it excels as both a concealed weapon as well as a range pistol, and—more importantly—it features a terrific optics mounting system.

The War Poet 9mm is built around the Shadow Systems® Multi-Role Frame, which was designed to provide dramatically reduced recoil and muzzle flip. The frame makes use of new manufacturing techniques to place more texture around the curves of the grip—so it really sticks, even when your hands are wet or sweating. The frame is contoured to provide an ultra-high grip, with an extended beavertail to eliminate slide bite. It also comes with interchangeable backstraps that fundamentally change the grip angle of the gun to fit your natural point of aim. In addition to a generous internal magwell, the War Poet pistol includes an optional magwell for faster reloads.

For the trigger, Warrior Poet chose a flat-faced aluminum trigger that breaks clean after a 4-4.5 lb. trigger pull, and resets very quickly and audibly. You can hear and FEEL the reset, which makes follow-up shots more accurate. The end result is a highly customized lightweight Pistol that excels in every role.
