A1-style bushing and short guide rod have been replaced by a button-rifled barrel and full-length steel guide rod…so it can handle hot 10mm loads, no problem. The front sight is red fiber-optic, so it's easy to pick up in low light, and the rear sight is fully adjustable. The Rock Ultra is finished with a tough, parkerized matte coating and battle-ready G10 tactical grips. True to all Rock Island 1911s, the Rock Ultra comes with a crisp factory 4- to 6-pound trigger, which gives you a great experience right out of the box.
