Pedersoli® Howdah .45 Colt/.410 Bore Side-by-Side Pistol
A fine reproduction of the iconic Ithaca Auto & Burglar double shotgun, meticulously crafted in Italy by Pedersoli®. The original Auto & Burglar was made in the 1920s as a close-range self-defense weapon for use by bank guards, police, and civilians, as it could easily be tucked in a doorwell or hidden in a nightstand.
Unfortunately, the National Firearms Act of 1934 subjected shotgun pistols to registration, and production ended. Thankfully, Pedersoli is bringing the unique weapon back, with different characteristics that make it legal to own (check state laws first). First and foremost, it's chambered in .45 Colt, and has 10.25", 6-groove rifled barrels. That said, the chamber has been lengthened to shoot 3" .410 bore shells, and the 1:48" twist won't interfere with the pattern. Features include a beautiful European walnut stock, case-hardened receiver, double triggers, and a classic saw handle-style grip with spur to keep your hand in place. It's a beautiful piece of history, and it's an absolute blast to shoot.
