Pedersoli® 1886 Sporting .45-70 Government Lever Action Rifle Designed by John Browning himself, the Winchester Model 1886 is regarded as one of the greatest lever action rifles in history. It was a true express rifle, capable of handling buffalo cartridges like the .50-110. In fact, it was originally designed for black powder, but the action was stout enough to handle smokeless powder with little modification. Now, Pedersoli® is proud to offer this exceptional reproduction of the iconic repeater, complete with high-quality PMG barrel, select walnut stock, and forged and machined steel frame. The 26" barrel is worked from a full steel bar into the classic octagonal shape, and features broached rifling for superior ballistic performance. The stock is a beautiful American walnut that is stained and oil-finished to highlight the grain. The 1886 Sporting comes equipped with a blade front sight and adjustable rear sight, and is also drilled and tapped for an aperture bolt sight.
