Created at the request of special forces groups who loved the way Liberty® Civil Defense exploded upon impact—but wanted deeper penetration—the new Overwatch round hits harder and deeper than ever before. Capable of penetrating 12-16" in gel blocks, the Overwatch features a solid copper alloy hollow point that causes Maximum Organ Displacement (MOD). Like Liberty's legendary Civil Defense round, the Overwatch projectile features a large hollow point cavity that literally explodes when it fills with fluid, causing rifle-sized wound cavities and hydrostatic shock that increases stopping power by ten-fold. Following this explosion, the bullet fragments into a starburst-shaped pattern that creates multiple wound channels—but also reduces the risk of overpenetration and collateral damage.
