The Beretta Model 38 (MAB 38) was one of the more renown submachine guns seen on the battlefields of World War II. This Ammo Box was a commonly seen support item, stowing rounds of the 9x19mm ammunition used to keep the MAB 38 going. Wood body and metal reinforcements display many signs of individual handcrafting, an indicator of wartime Italy's limited industrial base. A great collection piece, not to mention a cool and unique storage solution.
