The Holosun HS407COMP is a single-reticle competition dot built around one priority: speed. The 6 MOA dot is intentionally oversized compared to the 2 MOA dots common on precision and carry optics — at competition distances, the larger dot is faster to find, faster to confirm, and keeps the shooter driving the gun rather than hunting for the reticle. The 1.1 x 0.87 in. viewing window supports that speed with enough glass to track the dot smoothly through recoil and stay on target through rapid strings of fire.

Memory Mode means the optic comes back on at the brightness setting it was last used at — no adjusting after activation, no surprises between stages. Shake Awake handles the rest, keeping the dot live during a match and conserving the CR1632 battery between uses. The side-loading battery tray is a practical competition feature, allowing a battery swap at a match without pulling the optic off the gun and resetting zero.
