Traditionally, Kevlar in military applications is there to stop a bullet or bullet fragments. These Kevlar-layered French Gaiters instead were designed to help protect against another fast-moving threat…the whirling blade of a chainsaw! Originally issued to French military personnel for forestry and trail-clearing operations. The Kevlar is now expired of course, but these Gaiters still make an amazing collectible. And they'll still keep dirt and brush from wrecking your boots (not to mention add some unique style to your daily kickers).
