This Dutch Military Issue Rotzler Steel Shackle Block is the same kind used in heavy-duty vehicle recovery operations, as well as hoisting massive objects (like engine blocks). Rotzler has existed as a global name in hoisting and pulling systems for decades, with this Shackle Block having been manufactured pre-1990's, when its official country of origin would have been West Germany, and Rotzler would have been known as Rotzler GMBH+CO.
