Built in conjunction with ace shooter Taran Butler of Taran Tactical Innovations—and all dressed up in gold—the new Canik TTI Combat delivers the speed, accuracy and finely honed craftsmanship of a high-performance "race gun"—but for a fraction of the price of the big boys. Don't get us wrong…the TTI Combat is by no means cheap. But handguns with this kind of extensive machining and depth of features would easily cost twice as much, or more.

Let's start with the basics. The 4.6" barrel comes spiral fluted, and features a unique quick-attach compensator. The barrel isn't threaded: the muzzle sports a single port along with receptor grooves for the included dual-port steel compensator, which is held via the barrel's grooved and a spring latch that can be depressed with a small punch for easy removal. The compensator itself is designed to vent gas upward to counteract natural muzzle rise of quick firing.

The slide is extensively machined with more than a dozen deep-cut slide serrations to make slide manipulation easy, along with 6 distinct lightening cuts that reduce the overall mass of the slide. Less mass means less weight traveling rearward with every shot, which in turns means less recoil. The slide features Canik's new optics mounting system, which uses pass-through plates (available separately) to fit a wide variety of red dots. The optics cut is set deeply within the slide, so your optic rides lower and allows you to cowitness with the iron sights.

Moving on, the flat trigger features an integrated blade safety, and comes set from the factory to break at 4 lbs. or less. It breaks at exactly 90°, and reset is a scant 1.3mm, so it's ready to go very quickly.

Factor in a handful of nice extras like a removable aluminum mag well, fiber optic front sight, and a whole slew of included accessories, and the TTI Combat is all set to deliver world-champion performance.
