Otto White learned bootmaking from his father, who learned it from his father, who learned on the job, shoeing loggers and soldiers in the Blue Ridge Mountains in the late 1800s. By the time Otto set up shop in Spokane in 1915, his company had already earned a reputation for making the most comfortable and durable boots money could buy.
Otto himself remained active in the factory until his death in 1972, passing on his commitment to quality craftsmanship the best way he knew how—by training the next generation of bootmakers himself. Today, White's continues to do things Otto’s way: with quality leather, superior components and exceptional manufacturing methods.
Continuing in that tradition, the Lochsa Boot is built for the big game hunter who requires a tough and comfortable boot that can handle all back-country terrain, above or below the tree line. It features thick 2.0/2.2mm nubuck leather, premium long-wearing Vibram Due Roche outsole, and an OrthoLite footbed for superior comfort. And it's all wrapped up with DRI-FOOT waterproof/breathable bootie construction for sure-dry comfort that keeps water out while allowing vapor to escape. The integration of Lochsa’s rigid backbone and its lightweight build ensures all day comfort and stability.
White's Boots do require some break-in, but after a few miles, you'll have some of the finest all-purpose Hunting Boots money can buy.
