Make some noise with this incredibly cool Reproduction Gas Rattle Alarm. As seen used by brave trench fighters throughout both WWI and WWII.

The moment danger was detected, this Rattle would be raised above the head and quickly spun. The simple gear mechanism inside makes a LOUD clacking sound easily heard up and down the line. Hopefully giving soldiers enough time to quickly don gas masks and other chemical-attack precautions.

The design is based off an earlier percussive musical instrument (called a ratchet) as well as smaller noisemakers used as far back as pre-industrial times by law enforcement, sports teams and even party-goers for similar attention-getting.

This model (also known as a Trench Rattle) is a faithful copy of the versions seen used by American soldiers in the field. Construction is high quality wood, it is LOUD, and it is made to function dependably again and again. A great addition for your military collection, and a suitable level of detail for reenactors too.
