U.S. Military Style M65 Field Jacket, Burgundy

The legendary M-65 Field Jacket, aka the M-65 "Cold Weather Coat" was first introduced in, of course, 1965. Its popularity spread like wildfire due to an amazing ability to keep American soldiers comfortable across a wide swath of temperatures and climates. Both button-in liner and attached hideaway hood made it easy to adjust thermal capabilities: starting with cold mornings, moving to high-activity marching, then to sunny afternoons, and back to freezing-cold night again.

Back in 1965, color choices for the M-65 ranged from green to faded green (aka Olive Drab). This new version has only one color but that color is Burgundy. Let's say this unusual color was inspired by Odysseus' many adventures across the "wine-dark" waters of the Ionian Sea.
