Springfield® 1911 EMP® 4" Concealed Carry Contour .40 S&W Semi-auto Pistol

Introduced in 2007, the original EMP® sent shockwaves through the carry 1911 world—and proved that the platform could still be refined. By re-chambering the 1911 EMP exclusively for 9mm and .40 S&W, Springfield's engineers were able to shorten the action by 1/8". That might not sound like a lot, but the new short action allowed for a smaller frame, smaller slide, and reduced grip frame circumference. The result was a pistol that preserved the ergonomics of the 1911—while making it more carry-friendly than ever.

The new EMP Concealed Carry Contour takes it a step further with with one major upgrade. The heel and mainspring housing have been rounded off, making the Pistol more concealable by removing the part of the grip that prints through clothing. In addition to the bobtailed design, this Pistol has all of the same premium features and enhancements you’ve come to love from the EMP line. The satin-finish 416 stainless steel slide has rear cocking serrations and a 3-dot sight system which employs a red fiber optic in front and a low-profile white dot sight in back. The 4" stainless steel, match-grade bushing-less bull barrel incorporates a fully supported ramp. It's still the 1911 you know and love—it's just a little easier to conceal.
