Rated 5 out of 5 by Danimal from Perfect for the priceI can not speak to the accuracy as I was having optic issues but I sent 80 rounds down range with zero problems. Chambered, fired, and ejected as it should. For the price great deal!! If you are looking for a cheap round for playing on the range this is the one!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Mushroom Jack from Cheap ammoI am by no means knocking the Sportsman's Guide. I love most of their products. But these .308 shells from Russia are not worth the money. 4 out of 20 wouldn't fire. Buy the American, Brand name loads.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RockRiver from Best Russian steel cased .308I've been shooting steel cased 9mm and .223 for years from Wolf, Brown bear, Silver Bear, Golden Bear, Tula and WPA. In the last two years or so I've gotten into the .308 surge and despite my meager income I've become the owner of some decent semi-auto .308's based on the Kalashnikov and HK/Cetme designs. These rifles have zero issues with steel cased ammo but from my experience I've come to favor the Silver Bear for it's consistent accuracy and reliable performance in both feeding and extraction. My delayed roller-lock blow back rifle delivers 1 to 1 3/4 inch groups at 100 to 200 yards with Silver Bear 145gr FMJ. The AK long-stroke piston design and Silver Bear 145gr FMJ doesn't come in far behind with groups that are consistent and within 1 1/2 to 2 1/4 inch groups at 100 and 200 yards respectively. The Silver Bear ammo comes packed in attractive blue boxes with yellow and white lettering that are easy to pack and open. The ammo is wrapped in brown paper inside the boxes which I favor over the likely more costly plastic holders. You just open the box, tear open the brown paper and let those shiny zinc plated steel cases spill out to be fed to your .308 firearm. I've yet to experience a malfunction with the Silver Bear and that is with over 2000 rounds. Have I mentioned the cost savings of the steel cased ammo over brass cased rounds? Sure there are some brass cased rounds out there that are better in the accuracy and long-term storage department but the Silver Bear does very well for what it is and costs. The only real downfall I've seen with the Silver Bear ammo is the white oxidation or powdery residue that forms on the cases when stored in damp conditions over long periods. But keep it dry and it will stay shiny for quite awhile.
