Shadow Systems® MR920 Combat 9mm Semi-automatic Pistol

The MR920 is built using standard Gen4 Glock® 19 dimensions, but incorporates almost everything Shadow Systems knows about firearm design. The result is a multi-role, optic-ready Pistol that uses standard G19 holsters and mags, but delivers enhanced performance in nearly every area.

The slide and barrel are machined in-house in Plano, Texas—not outsourced—for superior quality. The barrel is conventionally rifled 416R stainless steel with a super-hard carbo-nitride finish. The slide is machined from 17-4 PH stainless steel and coated in nitride for superior corrosion resistance.

The slide features front and rear directional serrations that provide excellent traction when manipulating the slide, yet are relatively frictionless when drawing the pistol from a holster. The MR920 features deeply recessed front serrations and corner chamfers, giving it a thinner profile for greater control and easier re-holstering, even in a partially collapsed IWB holster.

The trigger is improved over a stock trigger, but leaves internal safeties fully intact and utilizes stock weight springs. You can expect smooth take-up and a super-crisp break at 4.0-4.5 lbs. Like its predecessor, the MR920's frame features the NPOA backstrap system, which adjusts the angle of the backstrap to match the shooter’s natural point of aim. The pistol system includes 3 backstraps, a removable magazine well, and a backstrap removal tool for your convenience.

More On the Optics Mounting System

The new optics mounting system is among the best we've ever seen, and was the result of considerable effort. By redesigning internal slide components, Shadow Systems was able to relocate portions of the operating system to allow:

1. Strong, deep screw placement.

2. Extremely low placement for true co-witness with iron sights

3. Most importantly, direct mounting of several red dots WITHOUT adapter plates.

No past designs have combined all 3 of these game-changing attributes. The DR920 optic cut accommodates Trijicon RMR and SRO, Holosun 507c and 508t, Leupold Deltapoint Pro, SIG SAUER Romeo1 Pro, Shield RMSc, Vortex Viper, and TruGlo Tru-Tec red dots.
