Shadow Systems® DR920P Elite Full-Size 9mm Semi-automatic Pistol

The original DR920 proved itself to be a perfectly balanced, duty-ready handgun with advanced features. The new DR920P takes the already-excellent pistol to the next level with an integrated compensator for reduced recoil and muzzle flip. The built-in compensator does not make use of a threaded barrel, which makes it compliant in jurisdictions that have threaded-barrel bans.

Like the original, the DR920P frame features interchangeable backstraps to allow you to adjust the grip angle to fit your natural point of aim. The extended beavertail and aggressive trigger guard undercut provide unmatched recoil control, allowing quick, accurate follow-up shots. The frame’s wrap-around grip texture is aggressive enough to keep the gun firmly in your grip without being uncomfortable for daily wear.

The slide is designed for manipulation under stress, with directional serrations on the front, rear and top, and a thinned profile at grasping locations. A specially engineered window cut reduces weight and reciprocating mass for optimal recoil impulse.

The barrel is machined from 416R stainless steel, and features conventional rifling—so it's compatible with lead bullets. The spiral fluting pattern improves evacuation of debris and reduces barrel weight, making the DR920P 9mm ultra-lightweight.

The Pistol comes outfitted with a flat-faced polymer trigger that breaks clean after a 4.5-5 lb. trigger pull. Finished off with a solid black metal rear sight and hi-vis green outline tritium front sight, the DR920P is the ultimate lightweight multi-role Pistol.

More On the Optics Mounting System

The new optics mounting system is among the best we've ever seen, and was the result of considerable effort. By redesigning internal slide components, Shadow Systems was able to relocate portions of the operating system to allow:

1. Strong, deep screw placement.

2. Extremely low placement for true co-witness with iron sights

3. Most importantly, direct mounting of several red dots WITHOUT adapter plates.

No past designs have combined all 3 of these game-changing attributes. The DR920 optic cut accommodates Trijicon® RMR and SRO, Holosun® 507c and 508t, Leupold® Deltapoint Pro, SIG SAUER® Romeo1 Pro, Shield RMSc, Vortex® Viper®, and TruGlo® Tru-Tec red dots.
