Built by skilled craftsmen in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the Desert Ops Custom represents the next generation of 1911 Pistol refinement. Roberts Defense� began production in 2013 with the goal of crafting an affordable, American-built 1911 that is hand-fit throughout the entire assembly process, all while never compromising the quality of parts, components and materials used.

Mission accomplished. The Desert Ops Custom's frame rails are hand-lapped to match the slide for "rides-like-glass" smoothness, and the barrel is hand-fit to ensure a nice, tight fit to the bushing. All internal components are hand-fit including the trigger, grip safety and thumb safety.

The surfaces are blended on the back of the slide and frame to create a custom look and feel. Roberts Defense may be new to the gun game, but their commitment to quality is as old-school as it gets, and the finished product is an outstanding take on the classic pistol.
