Rated 5 out of 5 by HighPerfDude from Remington ammo for my RemingtonsI've noticed over the years, I'm 51 now, that all of the Remington ammunition with the flat bottom bullets shoots better groups than most (not all) boat tail ammunition of any brand(s). No "fliers". I've compared the 150grns and heavier 168-220grn .30 caliber ammo in my Remington 700 BDL 308 Varmint Special 24" barrel and .30-06 ADL 23" barrel, and they all shoot tighter groups with the flat bottom bullets esp the thinner barreled 30-06. There's more bullet in contact with the rifling lands and a better gas seal on the flat bottom bullet. I don't shoot at things beyond 300 yards and all of these bullet weights are still hypersonic at 300 yards so don't need a boat tailed bullet. Decreases bore wear and tear as well, makes sense, unless you hunt at distances way beyond 300 yards.
