Rated 4 out of 5 by Philip from Had to Seize Upon Sale OfferIt was a good sale price which prompted me to order them to add to my cabinet inventory of other 7mm Mauser cartridges. Actually, this 158 grain bullet is between the 138 and 178 grain cartridges that I already own which I will need to compensate for on elevation rise/drop. Futile to shoot in all three different bullets weights only for the sake of precision. I like the packaging also: "Thunder"...sounds powerful. Good marketing. Am just blessed and thankful to have a source for cartridges for this 1896 Chilean Army model Mauser (7mm) as I am always in fear that they will go obsolete. Thanks, SGI.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ozark Outlaw from Nice ammoShot several 1" groups or better from a bench using a M70 featherweight 7x57, performs on game much like a partition. I have yet to have a whitetail stop one at ranges up to 250 yards. I put away several more boxes for the future. Have not yet tried to reload the brass, but suspect it to be much like the 6.5X55 brass that I have reloaded several times with excellent results.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Phil from Unconventional 158 Grain Bullet WeightI haven't shot these at the rifle range yet, but it will be interesting to see how these compare to the 140, 145, and 170 grain loads that I already own, and specifically compare these to the PPU 139 grain loads that I purchased earlier this year. I purchased this second box only to match it with an identical first box that I likewise purchased earlier this year, thereby increasing my PPU 7MM Mauser inventory to two (2) boxes each of 139 and 158 grain bullets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Yornoc3 from Good Hunting AmmoI bought this ammunition to try in a Ruger #1A rifle that is fussy about what it likes. This has shot several three shot groups of under an inch; it groups better than anything else I've used in the rifle - though they all shot minute of deer (1 1/2 - 2"). Since I haven't tried it on game as yet, I stopped at 4 stars. I'm expecting it to preform like a Nosler partition, if it does, it's 5 star stuff. And the price is right, for sure!
