The belts are a little stiff which I assume is because they are all nylon. The belts look and feel strong. I can’t testify about the buckal whether it will hold up. The buckal is metal but not heavy thick. I like the width ... works well in work pants. I always buy 2 size up from the pant size. One son is 38” other is 42”. Should fit them fine. Cut off accesive material if they want. Light weight for summer shorts.

I also needed a very special belt where I could attach a true solid brass Russian made belt buckle that would never rust. I was interested in the fact that it was really a solid piece of a very old, almost antique, Soviet era belt buckle. I needed a few belts that this unique buckle would attach to. This belt fit the bill. - The buckle is a real heavy, I mean it, solid brass. Not brass plated steel. Even has the Soviet star on its face.

My normal pant size is 40" waist, and there is very little tag end leftover from this belt, so it runs very small compared to the 50" advertised.

I would have preferred to buy a 3-pack(1 of each color), but I'm plenty satisfied with this purchase. Got the olive green set, will probably order 2 of the tan ones!
