Men's Rocky 8 Long Range Waterproof Aluminum Toe Work Boots, Oak is rated out of 5 by 9.Rated 5 out of 5 by tyler71385 from Most comfortable boot out of the box. I'm a project engineer for a large machine & fab shop. So my boots have to stand up to machining chips, dirt, oil, grease, hot steel slag, plus going out to plants & their hazards. On top of that they need to be able to handle 8-10 miles a day of walking. Other boots I've worn in the past have to be broken in before I can wear them 10-14 hours. The first day I had to stay 16 & had 12 miles on my pedometer. They are much lighter than my previous boots, I'm sure due to the aluminum toe, plus the toebox is much wider & comfortable. Great boots. I'll see in the long run how long they last. But so far I'm happy with them.Date published: 2015-05-06Rated 5 out of 5 by dewey1979 from best pair of boots I've ever owned this is my 2nd pair, I work in a factory and I'm on my feet all day, very comfortable bootDate published: 2015-05-03Rated 5 out of 5 by LOOM FIXER from very comfortable, well made, and beautiful I have worn these boots for about two weeks at work, and they have exceeded my expectations. They are comfortable being on my feet for almost the whole eight hours; every bit as much as the ironclad and the mobilite that preceded them. I refuse to buy anything but Rocky boots since the first pair. They are well worth the money.Date published: 2015-05-02Rated 5 out of 5 by brownie5 from very comfortable boot This is my second pair of the same boot.I work in the oilfield in Colorado and we need strong, dependable foot wear out here. The big plus, is that for a steel toe boot I have found this particular one to be very comfortable. When you work LONG hours and you are in and out of heavy equipment, you need reliable boots. THESE ARE!!!Date published: 2014-10-27Rated 3 out of 5 by rob814 from ok so far just Recently Bought These BootS And The One Sole Makes Noise When Wet Like There Is A Hole OR Its Separating Some Place. Feet Stay Dry But Don't Know How Long They Will LastDate published: 2014-10-14Rated 3 out of 5 by rdrgz from Long Range? I bought these boots and found them very comfortable but after six months, the different layers started to come unglued. True to their word Rocky sent me a new pair. After about the same about six months this second pair started to become unsown at the seams in the leather. I've had this issue on other Rocky boots so I new how the patch them up with Gorilla glue and some clamps. The soles are still in good shape but I'm not to please with the overall durability.Date published: 2014-09-23Rated 5 out of 5 by Kevin 1 from Very Comfortable I have only had my boots for about 2 weeks and wear them 12 to 14 hours everyday. Much more comfortable than my Wolverines were. They seem to weigh a bit more on my feet but I assume that is due to the quality and quantity of material used, not a problem at all though. I'm not trying to knock another brand but only compare them. So far they have been great! If you are looking for a comfortable boot along with quality your search is over!Date published: 2014-09-22Rated 5 out of 5 by EBear from The very best boot that's out there. I have flat feet. I mean, really flat feet. I had managed the problem by using orthotics. But with age they were not working so well. I was having increasing foot pain and despaired that I was going to have to back off from a life that is extremely active physically.Over the years I've had many brands of work boots and I had not been happy with any of them. I decided maybe I was compromising on price and not getting the quality of boot that I needed. So I ran across the Rocky Long Range boot and decided it was worth a try. Well, the boot has been a great benefit to my life. I've been wearing a pair of these boots for nearly a year. They are tough and they look great--it could be a while before I wear them out. But what really matters is that they support my foot unlike any boot I've ever had. They have a wide heel and sole and this feature keeps the boot from "rolling away from your foot" if you know what I mean. Usually my boots start getting misshapen in time. Not these. All the materials are top quality. The very best. I cannot think of one single thing I would change. I like the boot so much that I have bought another 6 pairs and have them stashed away in case Rocky, for whatever reason, discontinues them. I wanted to have enough boots on hand to last me a good ten years. The boots are attractive. This fall when we go on vacation I am going to break out one of the new pairs I have on hand and use them as hiking boots and will feel quite at home in whatever fancy little eatery we have lunch in.Date published: 2014-07-17
