Leupold VX-3 4.5-14x40mm Duplex Scope is rated out of 5 by 30.Rated 5 out of 5 by Ryan24 from Great scope! Extremely satisfied with the quality of this scope and accuracy of the cds turret. Took scope to the east cape of South Africa and took 6 animals with 6 shots on my Browning Abolt 7mm Remington Magnum. Animals hunted were duiker, reedbuck, springbok, gemsbok, kudu and blue wildebeest. Shot placement nearly perfect on all animals including kudu dropping to shot at 325 yards. Couldn't recommend product more highly.Date published: 2016-11-21Rated 4 out of 5 by Brendan from Gets the job done, done well! I've had this scope (with the Boone and Crockett reticle) on my 22-250 for about a year now. It has performed perfectly for me since day one. Very clear.Date published: 2016-09-28Rated 5 out of 5 by T Heats from Not sure where to start... I own several Leupold products, a Vari X iii 4.5-14x40 CDS, Cascade 10x42's, RX 1000 TBI rangefinder and a mil dot Mark AR 3-9x40. All have performed very well and the customer service is great! I was fortunate to live near Beaverton and have been in the factory many times. Staff went above and beyond to help me! I brought my rangefinder in for an LCD issue and they did not have a replacement at the time. One of the workers gave me his for the hunt I was going on and asked that i bring it back when the new one arrived...who does that!? My new CDS scope is spot on, the dial is very accurate out to 550, I haven't tried it beyond that yet. I would recommend Leupold to anyone!Date published: 2016-09-27Rated 5 out of 5 by Bearded Irish guy from Love my B&C VX-3, 4.5-14 I've made 3 300yd shots across a valley with my .308. No guessing for elevation with the Boone and Crockett 4.5-14x40. Put the mark on the shoulder and deer down! Excellent at 100 and 200 yard shots also.Date published: 2016-09-26Rated 5 out of 5 by wildbutcher from Excellent low light performance I purchased a new .270 Win not so long ago and was looking for a scope to fit to it. This rifle is used mainly for Mountain hunting in New Zealand where ranges can be from 30m to as far as you can shoot. While the .270 probably isn't considered a real long range rifle, it easily capable out to the maximum I usually shoot to which is 500m (550 yards) so I needed a reasonable amount of magnification. As well as this I needed a scope that can perform in low light conditions because, as you will know, the big boys usually wont show themselves until just before dark or will be trying to slip away in the grey dawn. I ended up choosing a VX3 4.5-14x40 with a Boone and Crockett reticle. The hold over points work well with the trajectory of the .270 and are accurate as long as you spend some time at the range and verify your drops. The light transmission is brilliant for a scope with a 40mm objective lens and 1" body. It out performs my Vortex Viper HD bino's easily and has allowed for game to be taken safely when it was difficult for the naked eye to see. I have taken game out to 550m using the hold over points. I have no complaints about this scope, but would consider a CDS model for next time.Date published: 2016-09-26Rated 5 out of 5 by pry666 from Great build quality, rugged design, functional. The VX-3 is just a quality optic that compliments any rifle, no fuss, no gimmicks just an honest scope that does what it needs to do, day in day out.Date published: 2016-09-26Rated 5 out of 5 by Alwyn from Exelent hunting scope I have used this scope on my 7mm Rem Mag for 2 years and I am very happy with it. The value for money is better than any other product.Date published: 2016-09-26Rated 5 out of 5 by JMBrown from CDS dial installed I recently got my non CDS VX3 back from the custom shop after they retrofitted the custom dial on it... WOW! I zeroed it at 100 yds and installed the load matched custom dial, turned it to 500 yds and hit the 12" gong at 500 first shot. I'm a believer!Date published: 2016-09-25
