The SU-16 gained a following due to its lightweight, streamlined size and no-frills performance. With the SU-16E, Kel-Tec® looks to blend the features that made the SU Series a success with some traditional AR hardware. The result is a lightweight AR that uses standard AR-15 / M-16 magazines, but is still distinctly Kel-Tec.

The SU-16E replaced the fixed stock with a tactical 6-position stock, and added a pistol grip, as well as a handguard with underside rail for accessories - so while rail "real estate" was hard to come by on other SU-16s, the SU-16E gives you a little more room. Or course, except for barrel and operating components, the SU-16E is made entirely of high impact reinforced polymer, as usual. And the price is rightly affordable. Not too shabby, we say.
