Our superior Guide Gear® Waterfowl Jacket keeps the "water" out of waterfowling, making it more enjoyable to hunt longer. Each fabric technology, every design element, is there to help you increase your waterfowl prowess. The Guide Dry® waterproof/breathable membrane, ThinsulateTM Insulation and plentiful pockets set it up as a worthy contender that'll arm you with features to succeed.
The Guide Dry® waterproof/breathable membrane keeps out water while allowing sweat vapors to escape, so you never feel wet or clammy in the blind or jon boat. How does it work? It’s simple. Water molecules are larger than vapor molecules. Guide Dry® features a special membrane with tiny pores that prevent larger water molecules from penetrating the exterior. Meanwhile, smaller vapor molecules are able to pass through, transferring body heat and sweat from the inside out. The result is 100% waterproof protection, without the stuffy feel of traditional waterproof material. Couple that with 150 gram ThinsulateTM Insulation and you get lightweight, bulk-free warmth that takes the edge off the cold.
9 total pockets give you a place for each field necessity. Shotgun shells? There's a place for that. Both front cargo pockets feature shell loops inside and are topped with button-flaps that give you quick access to the shells. Plus these pockets have drain holes on the bottom so you won't get waterlogged. 2 hidden pockets, 2 side pockets, 2 vertical chest pockets and internal zip-close pocket make up the rest of the pocket plethora.
It's the nice touches that make our Waterfowl Jacket a terrific choice. The hood is insulated and removable, plus features an extended visor for visibility. Adjust it in the back for your perfect fit, and to increase your peripheral vision. Bi-swing back makes it easier to pop up from a blind without clothing bind. Extended cuffs with thumbholes seal out the cold for even more warmth. With a chin guard for added coverage, license loop holder….and lots more, it's a fine choice for duck hunting and beyond.
With over 25 years in pattern development, Mossy Oak concluded that the most versatile and effective waterfowl pattern was one that was purely grass. After photographing a variety of grass blades along water edges and flooded fields, they saw that each BLADE was unique and in the background was thatch of dead or pressed-down grass. With that, Mossy Oak® set out to create the perfect pure grass pattern by arranging each blade of grass in natural positions. The thatch background creates the depth and distance from the larger blades to give Shadow Grass Blades a realistic, 3D appearance and superior ability to break up a hunter’s outline.
