Garmin Alpha 200i, Handheld Only

Pair the Alpha 200i Handheld device with the T 5 or TT 15 dog device/collars (not included) to train and track your pack of up to 20 sporting dogs. The Alpha® 200i handheld features a sunlight-readable 3.5" glove-friendly touchscreen display and user-friendly 6-button design. And with its rugged, water-resistant design down to 10 meters, the Alpha® 200i Handheld is tough enough to run wherever your dog runs.

Train using 18 levels of continuous and momentary stimulation, plus audible tone and vibration. Use the stimulation feature to train each dog separately. Traditional stimulation lets you make quick changes (low, medium or high) within a predetermined stimulation level (1-6), whereas linear stimulation lets you progressively add more stimulation from levels 1 to 18. Access multiple global navigation satellite systems (GPS and Galileo) to track your pack with greater accuracy than GPS alone. And preloaded TopoActive mapping provides detailed views of terrain contours, topographic elevations, summits, parks, coastlines, rivers, lakes and geographical points.

inReach® technology and BirdsEye Direct

Stay in touch using inReach® technology. inReach helps you keep loved ones updated when cellphones can’t (active satellite subscription required). When activated, the Alpha 200i is a fully functional inReach® Satellite text communication device that lets you send and receive SMS text messages and emails anywhere off-grid. You can also send an interactive SOS in case of an emergency, send route selection and waypoints to MapShare during your adventure, and exchange locations with other inReach-compatible devices.

The Alpha 200i also has a new method for downloading satellite imagery via Wi-Fi called BirdsEye Direct. Unlike BirdsEye Satellite Imagery which requires a subscription, BirdsEye Direct is a preloaded service with no annual service fee. Just use your Wi-Fi connection to download, view or delete BirdsEye Direct Satellite Imagery on your handheld device.
