Rated 4 out of 5 by Lynne from Not a softer recoil will necessarily be felt in short barrel 9mm If you have any 9 with under a 3 inch barrel, you may feel a slightly heavier recoil. Out of a 4.1 barrel or longer you will feel less of recoil. I shot it out of my Walther M2 with 5 inch barrel and it is with an extremely noticeable recoil. Also the shorter the barrel the more likely you "MAY" have problem with FTF (Fail to Feed) Depending on the make and brand of handgun. From personal experience, for some reason they did work excellent on all German Designed handguns made here or in Germany. Even Sig Sauer. All other brands of short 9mm had fail to feed issues at some point. Especially The Ruger LC9

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kevin M from Hard hitting self defense ammunitionFederal Premium Personal Defense ammunition uses the tried and true Hydra Shok projectile. I shot this out of a Sig 938 Scorpion and had no failures to feed or fire. It is advertised as "Low Recoil," but it was noticeably increased from the 115 gr and 124 gr plinker ammo I was shooting. One round devastated a watermelon from 15 yards, so it is definitely hard hitting. I feel confident with my wife using this in her CCW weapon and I'm carrying it in mine.My only complaint(s) are that I wish it came in a 50 round box and cheaper. But I can say that about all the quality SD ammunition.
