Rated 5 out of 5 by tommyB from AmasaBought them for my Ruger precision rifle. They shoot .75" 3 shot groups @ 130 Yds. Only one thing with them if you reload they are crimped

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kendan from Did what they were meant to do.Purchased a few types of ammo to try out for newly acquired rifle. Price was right on these, so grabbed a box to try out. 20 of 20 went bang. Groupings were ok, but I blame the shooter due to getting used to rifle. Also shot the 62 grain and they performed as well. I'll buy again. Weatherby Vanguard Series 1, 1:12 twist, 24" barrel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Billyboy from Great accuracy at low cost!I have a Savage Model 12 bolt action .223 and have tried many brands and types of ammo. One of the best for accuracy is the 62 grain American Eagle. It gives me the best accuracy/cost ration!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Onetime buyer from Very disappointedBought 1K rounds of black box AR223 and out of the first box 5 rounds had partially smashed cases (see pic). Also, the cases are tarnished more than they should be.

Rated 1 out of 5 by LarryM from 5 out of 20 dudsI don't get it, this ammo has pretty high ratings everywhere I look. Brand new Savage Axis .223, first rounds through it were American Eagle AE223J. Five out of 20 did not fire the first time. I did not try them again. Unacceptable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Reese from Definitely Surprised!!So a guy at the range today was trying to shoot these and kept complaining "They wont fire, Their duds, they wont cycle... on and on. Finally he comes over tome and tosses them on the bench and says "Here! Have the rest (about 3/4 of a 100rd box), I don't trust them." So I loaded a couple of mags and got the following results off of bipods on a bench;16" 1:9 twist @ 50yds with a red dot- 1.5" 5 shot group.20" 1:8 barrel @ 100 yds with a 6-12 scope- 1.7" 5 shot group. I don't know the price point but I would buy them for steel or multi gun matches!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by scrivo from good timesI have been using red box 55fmj for ten+ years as a general go to outside of precision reloads. all from the same large order batch and in many different rifles.Tika and Rem 700s 1-8 twists + multiple ar15s 1-9 to 1-7s, a mix of standard and match grade about 14 guns in total. The results have varied widely. Groups from WTF 4moa+ to honest 1moa. The only two guns it shot 1-1.5 moa in were the factory Tikka and a 20inch ar15 with a faxon 1-8 socom tube wearing a barrel de resonator. velocity was 2980fps from the 20inch. im sure i used to get that speed from a 16inch bolt gun years back. interesting.
