Ideal for competition and duty use, the Big Gunner Hybrid profile is the combination of two distinct barrel profiles: medium profile from the barrel nut to the gas block, and a thinner profile from the gas block to the muzzle. This combination results in a surprisingly lightweight Barrel that can handle a high rate-of-fire and is stable across a variety of loadings. And, with the weight biased towards the rear, it makes for a more-balanced rifle.

The gas block journal is set to .750" for compatibility with most common gas blocks, and is 1.9" long for longer blocks or aftermarket piston kits. Each Faxon Barrel is manufactured 100% in-house from mil-spec 4150 certified gun barrel steel. From there, each Barrel is then fully stress-relieved, air gauge-tested, and 11º target-crowned for superior accuracy. Finally, each one goes through meticulous testing before being finished in nitride.
