Building on the success of the Rival platform, the new SFx Rival-S adds more features and even more weight to help tame recoil—making it the ultimate entry point into the world of competitive shooting. Unlike the original Rival, the Rival-S is built atop a steel frame that helps dampen the already-manageable recoil of the 9mm cartridge. The frame features aggressive grip texturing along with fully ambidextrous controls and a flat trigger that breaks clean at 90°. The trigger is set right at 4 lbs. from the factory, and needs just 1.3mm to reset.

The slide is equally impressive, boasting deep serrations to help make racking easy under the stress of competition. It's ported on the underside, and features lightening cuts on both sides to help reduce reciprocating mass. Up top, a fiber optic front sight and metal adjustable rear sight help you get on target quickly.

But the most impressive thing about the Rival-S might be everything else you get. For starters, the Rival-S comes topped with Canik's own Mecanik M02 Reflex Sight, featuring a 3 MOA red dot and aggressive serrations. But you're also getting 2 mags, 2 additional baseplates, 3 backstraps, custom kydex holster, and the tools you need to make the Rival-S your own.
