Browning® X-Bolt Target Max .308 Winchester Bolt Action Rifle

The Target Max represents the X-Bolt at its most refined and capable, ready to ring steel at the absolute limits of your optics and ammo.

Despite its long list of premium features, it's still an X-Bolt at its core. And it starts with a steel receiver that is glass bedded within the stock. Glass bedding is a time-consuming process, but it's worth it because it creates an exact match between the action and stock—and because it free-floats the barrel. Free-floated barrels are inherently more accurate because they are allowed to vibrate, flex and move freely within the stock, WITHOUT interference from contact points.

The full-diameter receiver adds extra weight for improved stability and accuracy at longer ranges and has an alignment flat to aid in scope alignment/leveling. The recoil lug is pinned to the receiver to ensure perfect orientation if the barrel needs to be replaced. The included 20 MOA Picatinny optics rail is held in place with four oversize 8-40 screws and an additional steel pin that secures the rail to the receiver.

The 26" fluted bull barrel measures 0.9" at the muzzle, comes suppressor ready with 5/8x24 threads and includes a Recoil Hawg muzzle brake that effectively reduces felt recoil for improved shooting comfort—a must in competition.

The adjustable MAX stock gives you the versatility to customize the fit the rifle to your unique needs. The comb is height adjustable to put your eye in perfect alignment with your scope. Length of pull spacers are also included. The vertical grip is comfortable standing, seated and prone and allows for an easy reach from the finger to the trigger.
