Browning® X-Bolt Speed Suppressor Ready .308 Win. Bolt Action Rifle
Your hunt for a rifle that's suppressor-ready right out of the box is over with the X-Bolt Speed SR. Modeled after the hugely popular X-Bolt Speed, the Speed SR comes from the factory with a barrel that's 4" shorter than normal for the caliber. The reduced barrel length keeps overall length low, even when using the included radial port muzzle brake or a suppressor of your choosing.
Like all X-Bolt Series Rifles, the X-Bolt Speed SR starts with a steel receiver that is glass bedded within the stock. Glass bedding is a time-consuming process, but it's worth it because it creates an exact match between the action and stock—and because it free-floats the barrel. Free-floated barrels are inherently more accurate because they are allowed to vibrate, flex and move freely within the stock, WITHOUT interference from contact points.
The muzzle is threaded 5/8x24 to accept your own suppressor. Not ready for a suppressor? A radial-style muzzle brake and thread protector are included and, with the shorter overall length of the rifle, turn it into a formidable brush gun.
The Cerakote Smoked Bronze finish is applied to the action and barrel and offers metal protection that is better than traditional bluing or stainless steel. The lightweight composite stock features the concealment of Browning OVIX camo. This pattern offers excellent concealment in a variety of terrain and environments.
