The Mountain Pro represents the X-Bolt Series at its most polished, with a match-grade barrel, Cerakote finish, and ultra-lightweight carbon fiber stock that make it a standout performer. The Long Range Series featured maxed-out barrel lengths that allow you to take down elk and moose-sized game in the wide-open spaces of the Western US.

It starts with a stainless steel receiver that is glass bedded within the stock. Glass bedding is a time-consuming process, but it's worth it because it creates an exact match between the action and stock—and because it free-floats the barrel. Free-floated barrels are inherently more accurate because they are allowed to vibrate, flex and move freely within the stock, WITHOUT interference from contact points.

The Mountain Pro comes equipped with an 26", spiral-fluted heavy barrel with a Recoil Hawg muzzle brake that reduces felt recoil by up to 76%. The barrel is hand-chambered for precise headspacing—again, a time-consuming process, and one that other rifle manufacturers often skip. But the result is absolutely worth it for accuracy and shot-to-shot consistency.

The barrel is bedded within a true carbon fiber stock that's lightweight, rigid and filled with a noise-dampening foam. Textured grip panels give you plenty of traction, even in rain or snow. The stock is lightweight, highly maneuverable, and impervious to the kind of wear and tear that would damage hardwood stocks.

But all that accuracy doesn't mean a thing if the trigger lets you down. To that end, the X-Bolt comes standard with the 3-lever Feather Trigger™ that provides a clean, crisp pull with no take-up or creep and minimal overtravel. The trigger is screw-adjustable from 3 to 5 lbs., and is highly polished on all critical contact surfaces.
