Browning® X-Bolt Mountain Pro Burnt Bronze SPR 6.5mm Creedmoor Bolt Action Rifle

The Mountain Pro SPR represents the X-Bolt Series at its most polished, with a match-grade barrel, Cerakote finish, and ultra-lightweight carbon fiber stock that make it a standout performer. The special SPR version features a barrel that's about 4" shorter than usual, allowing you to replace the Recoil Hawg Muzzle Brake with a suppressor of your choosing.

Despite its long list of premium features, it's still an X-Bolt at its core. And it starts with a steel receiver that is glass bedded within the stock. Glass bedding is a time-consuming process, but it's worth it because it creates an exact match between the action and stock—and because it free-floats the barrel. Free-floated barrels are inherently more accurate because they are allowed to vibrate, flex and move freely within the stock, WITHOUT interference from contact points.

The Mountain Pro SPR comes equipped with an 18", spiral-fluted sporter barrel with a Recoil Hawg muzzle brake that reduces felt recoil by up to 76%. The barrel is hand-chambered for precise headspacing—again, a time-consuming process, and one that other rifle manufacturers often skip—which provides superior accuracy and shot-to-shot consistency.

The barrel is bedded within a true carbon fiber stock that's lightweight, rigid and filled with a noise-dampening foam. Textured grip panels give you plenty of traction, even in rain or snow. The stock is lightweight, highly maneuverable, and impervious to the kind of wear and tear that would damage hardwood stocks.

But all that accuracy doesn't mean a thing if the trigger lets you down. To that end, the X-Bolt comes standard with the 3-lever Feather Trigger™ that provides a clean, crisp pull with no take-up or creep and minimal overtravel. The trigger is screw-adjustable from 3 to 5 lbs., and is highly polished on all critical contact surfaces.

Finished off with a Burnt Bronze Cerakote finish that provides the highest level of corrosion resistance, the X-Bolt Mountain Pro SPR is one of the finest factory rifles we offer.
