As hunters look to go longer than ever before, the X-Bolt Max Long Range is here to push your distance to previously unthinkable heights. Like all X-Bolts, it starts with a steel receiver that is glass bedded within the stock. Glass bedding is a time-consuming process, but it's worth it because it creates an exact match between the action and stock—and because it free-floats the barrel. Free-floated barrels are inherently more accurate because they are allowed to vibrate, flex and move freely within the stock, WITHOUT interference from contact points.

The Max Long Range comes equipped with a 26" heavy-contour sporter barrel with a Recoil Hawg muzzle brake that reduces felt recoil by up to 76%. The barrel is hand-chambered for precise headspacing—again, a time-consuming process, and one that other rifle manufacturers often skip—which provides superior accuracy and shot-to-shot consistency.

The Max LR comes with a composite stock that's adjustable to fit your body perfectly. The easy-to-adjust comb places your eye in perfect alignment with your optics. Your ideal length of pull is achieved with the included stock spacers. The wide forend has a flat bottom for added stability from the bench. And a vertical grip places your hand in the perfect position whether you're prone or at a bench.

But all that accuracy doesn't mean a thing if the trigger lets you down. To that end, the X-Bolt Pro Long Range comes standard with the 3-lever Feather Trigger^TM that provides a clean, crisp pull with no take-up or creep and minimal overtravel. The trigger is screw-adjustable from 3 to 5 lbs., and is highly polished on all critical contact surfaces.
