REDUCING RECOIL FOR YOUR COMFORT

Standard recoil reductions is done by a deformation of soft materials like rubber, polyurethane or polymer inserts. Beretta wanted to be anything but standard. Their recoil reduction is done by the use of, not one, but two hydraulic dampeners. This effect is very similar to automobile suspension. This makes it incredibly unique amongst shotguns. To understand the difference between Beretta recoil damper and other, visualize a regular suspension system is like the Beretta damper and driving your car on rubber shock absorbers would be like other dampers on the market.

ACQUA TECHNOLOGY PROTECTS YOU INSIDE AND OUT

ACQUA Technology provides global internal and external protection. All of the internal components of the Max 5 are produced with rust-proof protective coatings. An anti-glare treatment is used on the slide, carrier and trigger. The receiver is constructed of anodized aluminum to be corrosion resistant. The barrel is blued to be corrosion resistant and the bore is chrome-plated. Through a special dipping process, the barrel and receiver are sheltered from corrosion in all weather conditions. This was tested in 150 hours of saline fog where it continued to be resistant to corrosion.
