With the Super Vinci, Benelli has taken the concept of a lightweight, fast-cycling, low recoil waterfowl gun to an unprecedented level of perfection. The heart and soul of this superb shotgun is Benelli's Practical Speed PerformanceTM suite, a combination of 3 advanced technologies—In-line Inertia Driven System, QuadraFitTM and ComforTech® Plus— that give you the ability to shoot, recover quickly, and shoot again, faster. Because putting birds in the bag is about more than just fast cycling of the action. It’s about how fast you can shoulder the gun, acquire the target, shoot, recover, and prepare for the next shot. The Super Vinci is designed for excellence in all those critical areas. Plus, its 3-pc. modular design allows for faster take-down and easier cleaning to get you back in the hunt as quickly as possible.
Developed in 1967, Benelli’s Inertia Driven system is simply the best operating system ever created. Its rugged simplicity makes it lightweight, clean-running, ultra-fast, and drop-dead reliable, even in the roughest, coldest conditions. Gas, smoke and burnt powder stay in the barrel, preventing residue from being channeled into the gun's mechanism and ensuring cleaner operation and less fouling than gas systems. The In-Line Inertia Driven System in the Super Vinci is the same system you know and love, but with one smart modification: the spring is located in the receiver instead of the stock, allowing easier access for cleaning and maintenance.
Reducing recoil and minimizing muzzle climb are essential ingredients for optimizing the fast cycling speed of the Super Vinci. After, all, fast cycling is meaningless if you can't effectively track targets. To that end, Benelli equipped the Super Vinci with their most advanced recoil reduction system: The ComforTech Plus. By splitting the stock diagonally and utilizing 24 shock-absorbing chevrons, the entire stock is essentially turned into a recoil pad. Plus, a specially engineered gel recoil pad distributes shock across a wider area for more effective dissipation. Factor in a gel comb insert that cushions your cheek during recoil, and you’re looking at a system that reduces felt recoil by as much as 48%, reduces muzzle climb by as much as 42% and quickens recovery time to get you back on target up to 68% faster. With ComforTech Plus, bagging doubles will become the rule—not the exception.
As with other premium models in the Benelli family, the Super Vinci sports a number of smart enhancements to make it more comfortable and better-fitting than ever. First and foremost is the QuadraFitTM system—a customizable stock system that allows easy adjustment of drop, cast, comb height, and length-of-pull in minutes. QuadraFit is a welcome change for hunters who have a hard time fitting “off-the-rack” shotguns. And, to help you out in cold weather, the Super Vinci features an oversized trigger guard, enlarged safety and sculpted forend for easier operation when wearing gloves. Plus, the pistol grip, forend and magazine cap feature V-GripTM non-slip texturing that provides a more secure hold than traditional checkering.
Benelli utilizes cryogenic technology to freeze barrels and chokes at -300°F. Such extreme temperatures actually change the metal at a molecular level, relieving stresses caused by the hammer-forging process and creating a smoother and more uniform surface. The hammer-forging process creates stress in the barrel steel, causing it to expand or contract unpredictably and negatively affecting accuracy. By relieving these stresses, Crio barrels move more consistently shot-to-shot, delivering denser patterns with 13.2% more pellets on target. In addition to more consistent firing performance, cryogenically-treated bore surface offers less resistance to the wad and shot charge—keeping the barrel cleaner, longer.
