I would recommend ditching the factory insoles and going with a thicker one of your choice. If you do this, order one half size larger. The best feature for me is being able to get a boot in a wide width....thanks Bates for this.I'm a paramedic on a 24 hour shift and they get used and abused. The side zipper has held up well....this is a problem with most other side zip boots...not these. Order with confidence.
