Rated 5 out of 5 by Az B from Long range accuracyWe have taken 2 deer and 3 elk with this round. My son (15 years old) has harvested a cow and bull ( both double lung) at 480 and 488 yards, and I took a bull at 484 yards (heart) all piled up less than 30 feet. We have done alot of work to be able to humanly take game at long distances and have full faith in the 300 mag 180gr throphy bonded tip

Rated 5 out of 5 by OilfieldAssasin from Excellent results so farI have taken 3 deer and 4 elk with this bullet and it hasn't let me down. My best was a 4 point elk at 440 yards. I had the perfect rest, knew the distance, had been practicing out to 550 yds with 6" groups, and when he stepped in view I took my time shot and nothing happened, I couldn't believe I missed he just stood there, no flinch, no nuthin. He took two steps and stopped so I aimed again shot, nothing again, and he stepped out of view. I couldn't believe I missed both shots. I figured I'd missed and almost didn't walk over to look as it was only 440 yds but about a 50 minute walk, straight down and straight back up. I walked over there and didn't see any blood or hair and was getting ready to leave when I smelled him, I walked about 15' into the brush and there he was, both shots perfect. The bullets had both hit perfect and did thier job and there he lay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Augustus from Deadly on African plains gameI took African plains game from springbuck to gemsbok and kudu with 180 gr 300 win mag. These are tough animals and this ammo is very effective on them. I shot a front-on blesbok in the chest and we found the bullet just under the skin by his tail. I kept the slug - it mushroomed exactly like your picture. At African trophy prices you want them to go down and stay down, so shoot 'em with Vital-Shoks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by TomMRC1999 from Great performance!I took my longest shot ever at a whitetail last weekend. Honest 256 yards, with a 30-06, 165gr Trophy Bonded Tip. At the shot, we heard a "smack" and the buck lunged to the ground. Upon reaching the downed animal, we found the bullet had gone through a 3" sapling before hitting the deer. We found the bullet under the skin on the far side of the deer. The bullet stayed together, mushroomed very nicely and appears to have maintained a huge majority of it's weight. I can't believe how well the bullet performed, but I have a new favorite!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Elkhunter21 from Unbelievable performanceI've used this bullet in New Mexico on elk 3 times. Every time it dropped the bull in his tracks. The most recent elk was at 300yds. When the bullet struck his shoulder he immediately went down. One bullet on an earlier bull recovered under the skin on the opposite shoulder showed perfect mushrooming and weight retention even after crashing through both shoulders. My off the rack winchester 70 shoots 3 shot groups that can be covered by a nickel. it likes this factory ammo more than handloads. I highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Yogi from Consistently accurate bulletI have used hand loads for the past 10 years, unfortunately I had been having trouble shooting tight groups with my loads. A friend recommended the Federal vital shock 180 gr. bullet. My groups tightened up and more importantly I executed a 340 yard single shot kill on a quartering away Utah mule deer.I highly recommend the 300 winmag Federal vital shock ammunition.
