They work well, but seem to have more background hiss than I expected.

I like the item. It came with batteries and was well packaged. The item works very well. I have yet to use it outdoors but I expect it to work as expected. I have used it home to listen to TV and this does work well so that the wife does not need to yell at me. The item is well made and fits great. The instructions on one side are clear and in English and understandable. The other side is in Mex.

A Target Shooter’s Gear Checklist

Here's a checklist to make sure you have all the necessary gear before you head out to the range or field to target shoot.

Scope Clarity: It’s Not The Glass

I get a bit irked when folks talk about the "good glass" in scopes. It's not the glass; it's the coatings! After touring several scope manufacturing plants and talking with several optical engineers, I've learned that glass is glass. They don't buy "cheap," "better" and "best" glass to put in these instruments.

Rifle Shooting: Real Practice

The problem with rifle practice the way too many shooters do it is they do it wrong! "Bang, bangity bang bang." They bang away. Either they sit at a bench and punch holes in the same 100-yard target over and over or they stand using bad form and plink at cans, rocks and whatnot. Who hunts like that?

Sight-In For THE Season

The hunter leveled his .30-06 and put the crosshairs on the buck's massive chest. He was confident in the 80-yard shot because last deer season he had taken a deer at this range with no problem. As he recovered from the recoil of his shot, he saw the buck whirl, untouched, and leave the field. No blood, no hair, no buck, it was a clean miss! Learn how to avoid missing this hunting season.

Sighting In Your Firearm

Just because your gun shot perfectly last season is no assurance it will do so this year. A sharp blow, warped stock or loose scope mounts can make you miss a deer. Serious deer hunters sight-in before every season. Here's how to get it done.
