Used U.S. Military Surplus 40mm Ammo Can is rated 4.4033 out of 5 by 181.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Used 40MM Ammo Cans - Decent Price & Good Shape I bought four cans. They were perfect on the inside and had good seals. They all had some rust on the lids. There were no dents. For used ammo cans they were pretty good. A little elbow grease takes care of the rust.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cans! I ordered two and they were in great shape. A little surface rust that wiped right off, no pitting or paint peeling. I opened the can and was met with stale air so the rubber gaskets still work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A really good value! I bought one of these to keep documents and important papers in...ie: DNR, Last Will etc., bank books, licenses, certificates. They are heavy, very strong, seem to be watertight and fire-resistant......and a lot less expensive than a bonefide safe. So it should cover the task I bought it for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Can !!! Its the luck of the draw on buying these used cans. I'm lucky this time, its used but near perfect condition. Here's a little trick I found on cleaning up a not so good can. Get yourself an angle grinder with a softer bristle cup brush and run it over the bad spots, they usually clean up pretty well, including the marker paint that the government sometimes puts on them to mark them as empty or scrap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best size for the money for storing ammo for me. As long as you can handle the weight of one that is fully loaded. This was my 2nd purchase of these cans. If you want quick mobility, get a smaller size, but for storage, this is the one. Some small spots of rust at joints, but use a flat black or brown rust paint on those spots and your can takes on a Camo look.
