Rated 4 out of 5 by from The handle was loose, but the axe itself is good quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great axe. I really didn't like the green paint it was choppy but with a bit of paint thinner and it was looking good. The head came a little loose but after a little work it's was spot on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Axe arrived in used, but very good condition. There was no damage to the bit, the poll, or the handle, so I was very pleased. It arrived sharp, but I honed it up slightly anyway. Other people got axes in various conditions, but this is alway a possibility with surplus gear. Overall I think $25 for a Swedish Axe is a great value, even if you have to re-handle it or clean it up a bit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from If I had planed on using this axe straight out of the box I would have been very disappointed. The head was chipped, and loose. The handle was almost broken threw from over strikes. BUT, I bought this axe with the intent of redoing it. A hand forged Swedish axe head for under 30$ is a steal. After a few days of filing, sharpening, cleaning the head and mounting it to a new handle I now have a razor sharp hand forged axe that rivals $150 modern axes.
