Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a solid metal canteen. It comes with a basic pouch for carry. My only issue is that the pouch lacks a dedicated carry loop but the strap that holds the canteen in does have a 2" loop in it that a belt can go though. Also there were some metal shavings on the cap threads that may be a concern. The cap came with rubber in the top to aid the seal. The securing strap fastens via a standard shirt style button. The canteen is a little smaller than U.S. G.I. issue. Overall I am pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow - these Russian WWII surplus canteen's are in better shape than described, much better than I expected. For being WWII "surplus" they must have been stored in a very well protected environment. I find it amazing they are 60 years old because they appear to be brand new. They are definitely a unique item and go very well with my camo painted Russian made Ural motorcycle with side car.
