Details & Specs

A breakthrough in firearm history! Complete, working used M1889 Schmidt - Rubin Rifle, PRICED RIGHT !

Revolutionary Swiss technology from 1889! This "repeater" was the first to use Col. Rubin's straight-pull bolt action. The user pulled straight back, ejecting the spent cartridge, and then pushed forward to chamber the next round, which locked the bolt and cocked it for firing.

Development would eventually lead to the model 1896, 96/11, 1911 and the famous k-31. Imagine our surprise when a vendor discovered a small store of these in working, fireable condition! We bring 'em home to you for LESS!

Ready to deploy in your collection:
  • Free-floating 30" barrel
  • 12-round detachable magazine
  • Full-length stock extends almost to barrel
  • Straight-pull bolt action
  • Chambered in 7.5 x 53.5 mm Swiss
  • No cracked stocks
  • Adjustable tangent rear sight
  • Real working order, no missing parts!
  • Measures 51"l. Weighs 10 lbs., 8 ozs.

Condition: used, in good shape. Don't wait... these won't hang around forever!

Awesome rifle. Great wood, strong tight bore with strong rifling. All matching numbers. VERY PLEASED!

Beautiful rifle, in excellent condition. Not mint but very well taken care of for a weapon that is at least 118 years old.

The rifle is in FANTASTIC shape for being 121 years old. In fact, it is the cleanest military surplus rifle I have ever purchased. It is definitely worth every penny I paid for it.

The rifle came in excellent condition with a fine finish on the wood and metal. Also, surprisingly, it came with an authentic leather sling. Wow! What a great value! Note: I only fire proper GP 1890/23 type rounds (7.5 x 54.5 mm) in this rifle (GP 11 (7.5 x 55 mm) ammo is too powerful and can ruin this rifle's action). I have mine made by an experienced ammunition loader for safety and accuracy.

Poor packing no bubble wrap just thrown in a box and mailed to me. Shipping department should be ashamed of themselves, Bolt action was sticking out the box when received.

Looks Great, cant wait to shoot, Bad packaging and shipping might have caused some more were on stock. It was in a thin box hardly big enough to fit with no packaging and the bolt ripped a hole in the box. otherwise great looking rifle
