Used Italian Military Surplus WWII Pith Helmet, Khaki is rated 2.75 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from The helmet portion was "OK", but the internal part that holds it to your head just crumbled away! That left me with no way to hold it on! I would'nt get another because the insides have dry rotted and you won't be able to strap it on!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The hats look fantastic but the head bands inside are so old that they have completely dry rotted and render the hats completely unusable unless you just want it as a collectors piece. I wanted to use the hats but as they are now, this is not possible without changing and replacing the suspension headband .The way they are made , this is not meant to be done and wont be easy. I may try to engineer something myself or may just send them back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Yes, this is used. It is also not WWII, as other reviewers have noted. Think SG should change the product description to be accurate. Mine arrived with some staining/spotting on the outer fabrice, looks dingy, etc. That'd be fine for my purpose, but the inside headband was literally disintegrating into little plastic chips as I took it out of the bag. Unwearable. So, not collectable, not decorative, and not wearable. Am exchanging, hopefully just bad luck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As others have stated, not authentic WWII issue, but still a good quality "safari" classic worth the amount paid.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from although this is a nice pith helmet, it is definitely not WWII era. The cork is nice and so is the covering cloth, but the Velcro liner (which was not in use till the late 50s) and a quick internet search show that this is not WWII.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I don't see how this could be WW II vintage, as the inside band had Velcro on it. Otherwise, a nice helmet.
