Details & Specs

58-gal. Molded Barrel, a WATERPROOF food-grade unit! SAVE BIG!

You know what a 55-gallon drum looks like. Meet its food-grade, larger cousin! Set for waterproof storage of whatever you'd like... food, pet food, bird seed, even a skirmish-load of ammo. Or use it as a rain barrel! Make a batch of 900 pickles and store 'em!

Made of thick, nearly indestructible Black plastic. The lined screw-on lid assures a waterproof, airtight closure. 4 carry handles because, face it, if full it is going to take 2 muscular people to carry. 22" diam., 42"h. Weighs 18 lbs.

Condition: Used, in good shape.

Please Note: Barrels are used and may smell faintly of pickles. Barrel dimensions and style may vary slightly. Sorry, no choice.

Reviews
Used Heavy-duty Waterproof 58-gal. Molded Barrel, Black is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 60.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Deal With the water problems here in California, these barrels are handy to catch rain water as well as grey water from your sinks so that you can water you plants and trees. The barrels are made from heavy plastic that allow you to put drains in at the bottom so that you can water. Easy to handle and work better that the 55 gallon barrels that you buy from the hardware stores.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great barrel I ordered two they arrived very quickly, and look to be close to new, except as stated the pickle smell. The lids were easy to remove, then I rinsed out with bleach. The seals are all in great shape as well. Definitely would buy again...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ordered multiple times I like these barrels so much that I have just purchased my third one. Sure, they may have a little pickle or olive juice in them, but it cleans out with some soap and water, followed by some chlorine bleach added to a full barrel of water. If UPS or Fed Ex cannot damage them in transit, you know they are tough.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just what we need Ordered this to replace a water barrel we have kept at our "rustic" cabin in the woods. We have no elec. and only a "sand point" with pump for water. So we fill the barrel every spring and dump it in late fall. This is our "in cabin" water source. We will start using it in spring. There was little pickle smell in it...one washout & rinse and it is fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice barrel Not cheap but it is a very good food grade barrel in exc. shape! I have seen some mixed reviews I would of sent it back if not pleased SG customer service is no problem at all and will not try to stick you with a bad item . I will give it a good value rating as I would like to see a little better price but all in all it is a nice item and I am happy with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tough Barrels, but. . . This is the second pair of these barrels I've purchased. The first pair were fine--tough, easy to use, "faintly smelling of pickles," as stated in the catalog. This second pair, though, arrived with one lid cross-threaded, and extremely difficult to open (still working on that), and the other still had olives (!) and olive juice in the bottom. It would be good if Sportsman's Guide would check their salvaged products prior to shipping them out. Overall, though, I got what I paid for (assuming I can get the lid of the first barrel).
