Rated 4 out of 5 by from irvin para harness FOR THOSE WONDERING: you can put a pistol belt(alice, lc2, or to climb with it, not that i condone such a thing a riggers belt) through this harness, but first you have to remove the quick release gear bag strap from the front, one side comes off as intended, the other must be cutanywaysitem arrived in good condition for used surplus, normally i would wait to put up a review so i have a chance to test the item but i have no intention of actually jumping with it. out of the box for a few days and it still does smell like stored military nylon, anyway the galvanized buckles and rings have lasted (mine was dated 1993) and theres no rust, stitching is near perfect and the material does not feel worn out. instructions on how to set it up would have been great, the harness part is relatively simple if youve ever used a full body climbing harness or a tree stand harness, but the pack is a mystery to me, and up until five minutes ago so were the shoulder buckles, i couldnt figure out how to get them to stay up, im not 100% sure of their function but i know they have something to do with the actual parachute, but you have to put the metal wires through the top part of the ring and fold everything upwards, it has no purpose but looks sloppy just hanging there, and the piece actually holds the harness together, but i may try to cut off the moving parts for a cleaner look, and i know for sure im cutting the pack portion off so i can wear an actual backpack with it. it also comes with an attached bag which i can only assume (cant find instructions online for some reason) is to stuff the whole thing into once the soldiers boots were on the ground, thats getting cut off and made into a pack cover, as the material is from a time when things were actually water resistant.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It is as described. (This pertains to the exact harness i received) The harness had great quality nylon straps and buckles. There is a pocket to hold the extra pouch which had the seams coming apart all the way up the pocket. The seams were also coming off on one side of the chute pouch. The nylon on the extra pouch was starting to wear but it was used. Overall im happy with what i got for what i got. It will need a seamstress to repair the seams but otherwise good solid quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect and at a great price! This was used as a prop for a costume for movie use. This was the most complete parachute rig that we could find anywhere and it was priced at under half of our nearest option... And that option didn't include the bag for holding the parachute. For the price, this can't be beat for prop or costume use.
